6. Forschungstag der Universitätsmedizin Halle
Freitag, 6 Dezember; 08:00 - 16:00
the 6th Research Day of the Medical Faculty of the Martin Luther University will take place on 06 December 2019. The venue is the UKH, HS 3/4, Foyer. In accordance with this year’s topic
“Crossing the Line”
the Research Day aims to strengthen the ties between the Faculty’s core research areas – Molecular Medicine and Epidemiology and Nursing Research – through stimulating scientific exchanges and lively discussions. Furthermore, new connections between clinical, nursing and basic research shall be initiated. Importantly, the Research Day brings together young scientists and experienced researchers in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.
The program includes two lecture sessions on “Oncology” and “Cardiovascular Diseases & Ageing”. Following the idea of “Crossing the Line”, the scientific lectures will be briefly introduced and put into context of the main topic of the session by the moderators. Opportunity for personal exchange is offered during the poster sessions as well as during the breaks at the buffet.
You are cordially invited to participate in the 6th Research Day of the University Medicine Halle.
You can actively present yourself with your contributions, either in German or English, in the form of short talks within the core areas of ageing, cardiovascular as well as cancer research, or by poster presentations. During the poster session, new scientific results from all areas of research will be displayed and, of course, lively discussed.
In the category “Elevator Speech” participating scientists are asked to present their projects and ideas to the general audience in an exciting, engaging, inspiring, or funny way to capture their attention and curiosity. For this purpose, the candidates have exactly 60 seconds, the duration of an elevator ride, to present the uniqueness of their research and to draw applause from the audience. The best pitch will be selected based on the latter and receives the audience award. At the end of the event, prizes will also be awarded for the best short talk as well as the best poster presentation.
The deadline for abstract submission (short talk or poster) is 22.10.2019. Please send your abstract to: firstname.lastname@example.org using one of the attached registration forms. The abstracts may contain a maximum of 3000 characters (including spaces for the abstract text; excluding authors and institution) and shall be divided into aims, methods, results and conclusions.
Please also forward this invitation to your staff, colleagues and postgraduates.
We look forward to an inspiring research day and remain with best regards
