The Research Training Group 2155 „ProMoAge: Protein Modification: A Key Mechanism for Ageing”, funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), comprises research groups from the universities of Halle and Jena and from the Leibniz Institute on Aging, Jena. ProMoAge scientists combine their expertise and technical facilities to address the question of how posttranslational protein modifications contribute to functional decline during ageing. In addition, ProMoAge aims at providing excellent teaching to qualify young scientists for a future career in interdisciplinary ageing research. We are now completing the first generation of PhD projects and would like to present our results on an international meeting in Wittenberg from May 13th to 15th, 2019. In addition, renowned scientists will give state-of-the art lectures on various aspects of ageing research during this meeting.
